We all need a sweet treat every now and then. Cacao is a great option because it doesn’t have added sugar like most chocolate.
Ingredients
1/2 cup raw cacao
1/4 cup coconut oil
2 tablespoon maple syrup
Topping of your choice - I used organic shredded coconut and dried fruit
Method
Line a tray with baking paper.
Using a medium saucepan, fill with 1/4 water. Place on stove and bring to the boil.
Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat. Place a glass bowl on top of the saucepan making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water.
Add the maple syrup and coconut oil to the glass bowl, stir until melted.
Slowly add the cacao powder, stirring a small amount in at a time.
Once all the ingredients are combined, spread the mixture on the baking tray. Sprinkle with your chosen topping.
Place in the fridge to set.
Break up and enjoy
